The Aspiring Musicians Program Camp is a day camp for elementary and middle school students (ages 9-15) who have played their instruments for at least one year and is able to read music. This five-day camp provides
students an opportunity to perform with other talented students, receive class instruction in instrumental
technique, and explore music through musicianship classes. Time spent studying and rehearsing
culminates in a concert for parents and friends on Friday. Camp instructors will include faculty
members of the MSU Community Music School-Detroit.
Tuition is $200. Lunch is included in the tuition cost. Campers are chaperoned during the lunch period. A limited amount of tuition assistance may be available for families with need; income based.
Camp begins at 9 a.m. and concludes at 3 p.m. All rehearsals and classes will be held in the CMS-Detroit building located at 3408 Woodward Ave., Detroit.
