Verses Project:
Exploring Literacy through Lyrics and Song

A collaboration between the Marshall Mathers Foundation & Carhartt

Students in this innovative, literacy-based music program will learn the art of songwriting, composing, performing, wordsmithing, mixing and recording using the latest technology. This all-new 15-week program for ages 12 to 15 begins February 1 on Mondays from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The Verses Project is FREE to students who are accepted.

To apply, youth must complete a questionnaire and send a sample of their words or music to cmsd@msu.edu. Call (313) 578-9716 for assistance.

Enrollment is very limited. Some students may have prior instrumental music experience, but that is not a requirement for this program.
