Guitar & Bass Guitar

Adults can learn or develop their skills on guitar or electric bass in a small group class that also provides individualized instruction. Tuition is $160 for 15-week semesters offered in Fall and Spring. An 8-week summer session is $90. Guitar instruction books are available for purchase in the office. A limited number of amplifiers are available for use during class.

  • Guitar for Beginners
    Tuesdays, 6-7 p.m.
    Tuition: $160 per semester
    Class focus is learning basic guitar techniques including chords, strumming, single note melodies, and some reading.  The interests of the class are considered concerning musical style and overall interests.  

  • Guitar Intermediate
    *Class scheduled by request if a minimum of 5 students enroll*
    The class will focus on all the techniques from Beginning Guitar in greater depth.  Other advanced techniques will be introduced based on the level, and interests of the class.

  • Bass Guitar for Beginners
    Tuesdays, 7-8 p.m.
    Tuition: $160.00 per semester
    The class will focus on a range of basis techniques used in modern electric bass playing.  Some techniques include.  Root bass lines, walking bass lines, and riffs in a variety of styles.

  • Bass Guitar Intermediate
    *Class scheduled by request if a minimum of 5 students enroll*
    The class will focus on all the techniques from Beginning Bass Guitar in greater depth.  Other advanced techniques will be introduced based on the level, and interests of the class.

Private Lessons provide one-on-one instruction. A minimum of 4 lessons must be purchased and paid for in advance. Financial assistance is not available for private lessons.

Private and Buddy lesson rates:

  • $25 for 30 minutes
  • $37.50 for 45 minutes
  • $50 for 60 minutes
