MSU Community Bands

MSU Community Music School-Detroit band ensembles are for adults who wish to learn to play a band instrument for the first time, or who would like to get back into practice with like-minded individuals.

Band classes provide a relaxed, fun learning environment. Free performances for the public take place at the MSU Detroit Center, churches, area nursing homes, and other locations based on special invitations. If available, instruments can be loaned at no cost to registered students. Financial aid is available based on demonstrated need.
