Patti Kroth (New Horizons Band, Clarinet)

patti krothPatti Kroth is an instructor of clarinet and a co-leader of the New Horizons Band at the Michigan State University Community Music School.

She received her Bachelor of Music from Ithaca College and received her Master of Music from the Eastman School of Music in New York.

Ms. Kroth has performed with the Sioux City Symphony, the South Dakota Symphony and has been a guest performer with the Dakota Wind Quintet. She has been a guest conductor for the Interlochen New Horizons Camp in 2009, the Chautauqua New Horizons Camp in 2006 and 2007, and the Jefferson County All-County Band in 2003, where she was also named Teacher of the Year.

Currently, she teaches band for grades 5-8 in the East Lansing school district, but has also taught at public schools in New York, Colorado and South Dakota. She has also been a faculty member at Augustana College and the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
