Sarah Tyriver is an instructor of violin and viola at the Michigan State University Community Music School and a member of CMS’ Suzuki Faculty. She also instructs fiddle in the Community’s Music Schools’ folk program.
Ms. Tyriver received her Bachelor of Arts in Music from the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music.
In addition to teaching at CMS, Ms. Tyriver performs with the Lansing Irish Sessions.
Ms. Tyriver has worked with the Jackson Symphony Orchestra Community Music School teaching traditional and Suzuki viola and violin. She also taught orchestra at the middle and high school levels, and violin at elementary levels in the Lansing School District, in addition to coaching chamber music in Lansing, East Lansing, Okemos and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp.
Ms. Tyriver has performed with the Jackson, Battle Creek, Midland, and Lansing Symphonies. She has also performed with the Fox Valley Symphony in Wisconsin and the University-Faculty Orchestra at the Interlochen Arts Camp.
