Keith Pepper

French Horn

Based in the East Lansing area, Keith is an incoming D.M.A student at Michigan State University. He received his Bachelor of Music from California State University, Long Beach and his Master of Music from California State University, Northridge. Keith is a founding member of the Yosemite Brass and Woodwind Quintet. Each chamber group works extensively with local schools in Central California promoting music education through performances and master classes. His freelance career has seen him record for Deadmau5 on his album where’s the Drop? and has been a part of the horn section that recorded for Alan Parsons’ album The Secret. Keith has also performed with Streetlight Manifesto in their Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution Orchestra. He was also one of the horn players for Shahkar Bineshpajooh’s orchestra during his tour stop in Los Angeles, California. Keith has appeared playing horn in several different commercials that include spots for Apple and Microsoft. He has also appeared in the T.V. Show Penny Dreadful: City of Angels playing trombone and violin. In the orchestral world, Keith has had the opportunity to perform with the Traverse Symphony Orchestra, Traverse City Opera, Flint Symphony Orchestra, Fresno Philharmonic, California Philharmonic, and Fresno Grand Opera. He has held positions in the Sequoia Symphony Orchestra and the Kings Symphony. Aside from performing, Keith is an active bowler and during the winter season, he can be found snowboarding. Keith’s horn instructors include Jennie Blomster, Jenny Kim, Dylan Hart, Dr. Annie Bosler, and Corbin Wagner.
