Cwen Homa graduated from Michigan State University in 2015, with a bachelor’s degree in piano performance, during which time she studied abroad in Todi, Italy in 2012.
Following her bachelor’s degree, she studied musicology at MSU and was honored with the Somers Award for Excellence in Teaching for her work as a teaching assistant in Integrative Arts and Humanities coursework. She also participated as a graduate program assistant for MSU College of Music’s Celebrating the Spectrum Festival in 2017, working as a mentor with students on the autism spectrum.
She currently works as a freelance pianist, as an accompanist of the MSU Community Music School and as pianist and organist of Okemos Community Church, where she served as interim music director from 2017-2018.
