Drew Howard is a musician living in Mason, MI. He has many years of teaching experience at the private, retail, and academy levels, including stints at Marshall Music/East Lansing  Elderly Instruments/Lansing, Herb David Guitar Studio/Ann Arbor with yearly guitar seminars at Interlochen Center for the Arts.

Drew is a multi-instrumentalist and plays and teaches the techniques and repertoire of acoustic & electric guitar at MSU CMS, beginning to advanced.

Areas of expertise and experience include Americana and roots styles such as the blues, rock, country, bluegrass genres, as well as Celtic and even klezmer styles.

Drew teaches children of all ages, 5 to 85. He recognizes that every student is unique in his or her needs and abilities. Drew can help to instill a love of music and guitar in the student. Drew can teach you basic skills as well as advanced techniques. Your success is Drew’s business.

Drew's 40 years of experience as a musician in the realms of recording and performance here and abroad is extensive, appearing on many commercial sessions as well as appearances on more than 125 albums by many of Michigan's finest bands and songwriters. Drew has performed with notables Bo Diddley, Tom Paxton, Greg Brown, Dale Watson, John Sinclair, The Derailers, Steppininit, Blackbird McKnight, Lansing Symphony Orchestra, Seth Bernard, May Erlewine, Jan James.

Drew is the 2010 winner and 2015 runner-up of the Detroit Music Award for Outstanding Country Instrumentalist."
