Katie Burk

Early Childhood

Katie Burk has been a music teacher since 2012 and works full-time as the elementary music teacher at Donley Elementary School in East Lansing. A graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Music, Katie has been involved in teaching at the MSU Community Music School since 2010 in the early childhood music and children’s choir programs. She has completed level certifications in both Music Learning Theory early childhood music teaching and Orff Schulwerk elementary music teaching. She has been playing piano and singing for twenty years and also enjoys playing guitar and ukulele. Katie is currently a New Directions Summer Scholar in the Michigan State Master of Music Education program.
