Owen Kilpatrick

Owen Kilpatrick received his Bachelors of Music in Music Education and Saxophone Performance from Western Michigan University under the tutelage of Dr. Henning Schröder and his Masters of Music in Saxophone Performance from Michigan State University under the tutelage of Joseph Lulloff. He has been playing saxophone for fourteen years, and teaching privately for the last five.
An active chamber musician, Owen has performed with saxophone quartets, reed quintets, and co-founded the Kestrel Duo, a professional saxophone duo that released their debut album Together When We’re Apart in 2025. In his teaching, Owen is passionate about cultivating a safe environment for students to express themselves and encourages students to play an active role in curriculum development aligned with their individual goals.
