Patti Kroth

Clarinet, New Horizons Adult Beginning Band (One Day/Week)

Patti Kroth is an instructor of clarinet and founding director of the New Horizons Adult Beginning Band (one day per week).

She received her Bachelor of Music from Ithaca College and received her Master of Music from the Eastman School of Music.

Ms. Kroth was a member of the Sioux City Symphony, and has been a guest performer with the Dakota Wind Quintet, the South Dakota Symphony, and the Lansing Symphony Orchestra. She has been a guest conductor for the Interlochen New Horizons Camp in 2009, the Chautauqua New Horizons Camp in 2006, 2007, and 2018. She also guest conducted the Jefferson County All-County (NY) Band in 2003, She was named Teacher of the Year at West Central High School in SD.

Currently, she teaches band for grades 6-8 in the East Lansing school district, and has taught in public schools in New York, Colorado and South Dakota. She has also been a faculty member at Augustana College and the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
