Paul Rebeck is an instructor of cello at the Michigan State University Community Music School.
Mr. Rebeck received his Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance and Pedagogy and his Master of Arts in Music Performance both from Western Illinois University.
Mr. Rebeck has been a member of many ensembles including the Stanley Chepaitis Trio, where he premiered original work to public television broadcast as a jazz cellist. Mr. Rebeck has performed with the Marquette, Midland and Traverse City Symphony Orchestras in Michigan, and the Knox-Galesburg Quincy Symphony Orchestras in Illinois. Mr. Rebeck has toured internationally with the Royal Oak Cello Tour Group in Spain, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. He has also performed in Italy and Greece. Currently, Mr. Rebeck is a member of three Lansing-based ensembles, Celli d’Amour, the CMS String Trio, and Three Cellos and a Bass.
Mr. Rebeck is certified in Suzuki Cello books 1A -10, and currently teaches at the Suzuki Royal Oak Institute of Music, the Okemos Suzuki program and has been an instructor at the Suzuki Family Camp at the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and the Pine Music Festival Suzuki Workshop. He has also taught at the Saginaw Symphony School and has been a guest instructor for various public school orchestras.
