Xiaolin Lin is a pianist, collaborative musician, and piano instructor currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Michigan State University, studying under Professor Stanislav Khristenko. She completed both her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Piano Performance at the Royal College of Music in London, where she studied with Dinara Klinton, Diana Ketler, Kathron Sturrock, and Niel Immelman.
As a performer, Xiaolin has presented recitals internationally at venues including the Shanghai Oriental Art Centre, Dongguan Steinway Concert Hall, St. Michael’s Church, St. Mary le Strand, and St. George’s Hanover Square, St. James’s Church Sussex Gardenin London, as well as the Savonlinna Conservatory of Music in Finland.
In addition to solo performance, Xiaolin is an experienced collaborative pianist who has worked extensively with singers and instrumentalists through opera productions, chamber music, and accompanying performances. She served as a répétiteur with the Royal College of Music Opera Department and currently works collaboratively with student musicians at Michigan State University.
Alongside performing, Xiaolin has over 1,300 hours of piano teaching experience, working with students of different ages and levels and preparing them for examinations, competitions, and recitals.
