The Community Music School awards financial assistance to any CMS students/clients based on need. Financial assistance awards vary based on the level of need. Documentation of household income on a 1040 tax form from the previous year must be submitted with the application form. Late applications are accepted, but priority is given to those received on time.
Requests for financial assistance to attend CMS grow each year. One in nine CMS students receives financial assistance, and in fact, many of these families are living on annual household incomes of less than $27,250 for an average family size of 3 people.
As a self-supporting institution, funding for CMS financial assistance comes primarily from grants and private donations, and it is limited each semester. Help us make music – and its benefits – possible for more people.
