Kate Port is an early childhood music teacher at the MSU Community Music School. She graduated from Michigan State with a bachelor’s degree in music education and fell in love with early childhood music during her studies. In addition to teaching at CMS, Kate taught elementary general music for 5 years and currently teaches integrated arts in Harper Creek Community Schools to grades DK- 4th. During the summers, Kate is the director of the Arts Discovery day camp program at Interlochen Arts Camp. While Kate loves teaching music to people of all ages, early childhood music classes hold a special place in her heart.
