Sarah Munson is a violin instructor at the Michigan State University Community Music School, where she is also a member of the Suzuki faculty. She recently graduated with her
master’s degree in violin performance at Michigan State University under Professor Yvonne Lam. She holds a bachelor’s degree in violin performance from Bowling Green State
University, where she studied under Dr. Caroline Chin.
Sarah has taught private violin and viola lessons over the past several years in Ohio and Michigan. She has experience teaching a wide age range, with a focus on the beginner and
intermediate levels. She has been passionate about the Suzuki method for years, having learned violin through the method when she began at the age of 6.
In addition to teaching, Sarah has extensive orchestral and chamber performance experience, having been to numerous summer music intensives. She has also performed in
the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, the Lima Symphony Orchestra, and the Adrian Symphony Orchestra.
