CMS offers individual and group music therapy sessions for people of all ages with disabilities, both online and in-person.
Music therapy is the use of music to help individuals with special needs and medical conditions in the areas of communication, gross/fine motor skills, socialization, self-expression and wellness.
Musical talent or training are not prerequisites for acceptance into the music therapy program.
Interventions/sessions are designed according to the specific functioning levels, interests, and clinical needs of the individuals. Treatment is provided by professional music therapists who have training, experience, and certification in the field of music therapy.
Contact CMS at (517)355-7661 or commusic@msu.edu to inquire about music therapy clinical services.
