Private Lessons (for youth and adults)

Lessons are offered in 30-, 45-, or 60-minute sessions and provided on a weekly basis during the 17-week fall semester, 17-week spring semester, and 10-week summer semester. 

30-minute lesson 17-week semester weekly basis $30 per lesson

60-minute lesson 17-week semester weekly basis $57.50 per lesson

The cost for private lessons includes weekly lessons, occasional group lessons, school-wide recitals, and occasional guest master classes.

Suzuki Lessons (Violin, Viola, Cello, Piano)

With the Suzuki program, students typically participate in weekly Suzuki group and private lessons. Private lessons range from 30 to 60 minutes and are scheduled based on the availability of the student and instructor. Group lessons are scheduled by the string/piano Suzuki instructors.

The costs listed below include both the weekly private and group lessons. 

30-minute lesson plus Suzuki group 17 weeks $37/week
45-minute lesson plus Suzuki group 17 weeks $52.50/week
60-minute lesson plus Suzuki group 17 weeks $64.50/week

*You may choose to participate in both the two-day and one-day adult beginning bands (attending class on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays). If you participate in the two-day adult beginning band, you may choose one of the following rehearsal options:

  • Tuesday and Thursday (standard)
  • Monday evening and Tuesday morning
  • Monday evening and Thursday morning
If you participate in the one-day adult beginning band, you may choose to participate in rehearsals on Monday evenings, or attend rehearsals on Tuesday or Thursday morning instead. 


A Snowbird rate of $99/semester is offered to those who do not attend rehearsals during the winter months.

Multi-Band Discount
Play in both an adult beginning band (either the two-day or one-day/week option) and the Jazz band! You would only pay the full semester tuition for whichever adult beginning band you choose; there would be no cost to participate in the Jazz band. 
(Please note: individuals choosing to participate in the New Horizons Adult Beginning Orchestra and an adult beginning band/Jazz band will pay full tuition for both programs.)
