Spring 2023 Semester

 

CMS is excited to offer both virtual and in-person private lessons, individual and group music therapy sessions, and select classes and ensembles for all ages and abilities.

As we continue to follow the plans and actions of Michigan State University with regards to offering in-person instruction, we ask that all CMS students and families review the required CMS health and safety protocols. Thank you for your help and patience during this transition.

 

5% Discount for current MSU faculty, staff, and students!
Save money on your CMS tuition! To receive the discount, registrations must be made in-person or over the phone at (517) 355-7661. This option is not available through the online registration program.

Private Lessons (for youth and adults) - In-Person and Virtual

Private lessons will be offered both virtually and in-person. Contact the office for more details.

Lessons are offered in 30-, 45-, or 60-minute sessions and provided on a weekly basis during the 17-week fall semester, 17-week spring semester, and 10-week summer semester. Lesson durations and pricing are listed below.

30-minute lesson 17-week semester weekly basis $30 per lesson
45-minute lesson 17-week semester weekly basis $44.50 per lesson
60-minute lesson 17-week semester weekly basis $57.50 per lesson

The cost for private lessons includes weekly lessons, occasional group lessons, school-wide recitals, and occasional guest master classes.

Suzuki Lessons (Violin, Viola, Cello, Piano)

With the Suzuki program, students typically participate in weekly Suzuki group and private lessons. Private lessons range from 30 to 60 minutes and are scheduled based on the availability of the student and instructor. Group lessons are scheduled by the string/piano Suzuki instructors.

The costs listed below include both the weekly private and group lessons. 

30-minute lesson plus Suzuki group 17 weeks $37/week
45-minute lesson plus Suzuki group 17 weeks $52.50/week
60-minute lesson plus Suzuki group 17 weeks $64.50/week

 

45-minute Suzuki strings group only 17 weeks $123.50/sem
This option is only available for students currently taking private lessons through Suzuki instructors outside CMS
